  • Do not become an unpleasant company

There is always one person on board who gets too much drunk or is too loud or easily gets sick. Do not be that person, as you will be a guest in someone else’s boat, and you need to act accordingly. You should be very careful as to not ruin the trip for others, especially those who are experiencing charter fishing for the first time. You should always be courteous, attentive and respectful to all the crew members as well as other passengers.

  • Avoid getting sick while on board

The captain of your charter boat cannot turn around to take your back home if you get sick all over his boat. Do not drink a night before your trip, so that your stomach in less likely to be upset even in rough seas. You should have a night of good and sound step before you arrive on the boat. By being hangover and tired, you will not only ruin your trip but also make things miserable for others.

  • Arrive for your trip on time

Always arrive in time at the docks when going for a sea vacation. The captain has several trips schedule and if you come late, all of his other trips will run late simply because of one person. In other cases, the captain may even cut down your trip time if you are late. You should always arrive at least twenty minutes before your scheduled time, wearing all of your appropriate clothing, along with all necessary items such as camera, sunglasses and sunscreen. Do not keep the captain of your boat waiting at any cost.
